Sigur Ros To Release New Album This Year

Two in two years – Excellent!

Icelandic quartet turned trio Sigur Ros yesterday revealed that they are set to release a new album this year in a Q&A on Reddit.

Keyboardist Kjartan Sveinsson has left the band and when asked how this may affect the sound the band stated “There will be changes yes, but not only because Kjartan has left. We always try to evolve and make things interesting.”

One can only hope that the sound they achieve is as majestic as their previous endeavours.

In other Sigur Ros news the trio have been scheduled to headline Live From Jodrell Bank on 30th August. This will see them playing at the University Of Manchester’s observatory, alongside a multitude of science workshops, lectures and experiments.
