To most, the Switch is the future of Nintendo as the Wii U is more or less dead. However, as we all know, the 3DS has been doing rather well for Nintendo, and had a strong 2016. And 2017, while not looking to be as big as 2016, still looks to be an amazing year for the 3DS.

The Nintendo 3DS Has Now Sold More Units In Japan Than The PlayStation 2

While Nintendo nay-sayers are always quick to point out that the 3DS hasn’t been as big a commercial success as the Nintendo DS – which sold a staggering 154.02 million consoles worldwide – the handheld has still shifted an impressive number of units, especially in its native Japan.

Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows Coming September 17th

Yacht Club Games has confirmed today that the downloadable content for Shovel Knight which is titled Plague of Shadows will be arriving on September 17th. The update, which is completely free, is arriving on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, 3DS, and PC.
