The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild wins Game of the Year at The Game Awards

The Game Awards took place earlier today and Nintendo went away with a huge haul. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild took out the top award, Game of the Year beating Super Mario Odyssey, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Persona 5 and Horizon Zero Dawn.

The Game Awards: Smash Bros Wii U Wins Best Fighting Game, Mario Kart 8 Wins Best Racing Game

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U has been deemed the best fighting game of 2014 by The Game Awards. In addition, the awards show has named Mario Kart 8 the best racing game of the year. The Game Awards 2014 is currently taking place in Las Vegas, and it’s also being livestreamed online.

Nintendo Secures Plenty of Nominations in The Game Awards 2014 – Nintendo Life

Not long ago we reported that the Spike VGAs will be replaced this year by The Game Awards 2014 — though not boasting a particularly original name, these have a nomination group of 28 publications and an advisory board including Nintendo of America’s Reggie Fils-Aime.

Here’s The Results From The E3 Game Critic Awards 2014

The results are now in from the E3 Games Critics Awards 2014. There were plenty of interesting nominations this year, which some agreed with and some strongly disagreed with. However, the results are here. The game of the show went to Turtle Rock Studios latest project Evolve for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Nintendo won a couple of awards with Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Here’s the results for E3 2014.
